‘WIN A MILLION CENTS’ PROMOTION

1. The 'Win a Million Cents Competition' (Promotion) is conducted by VicReturn Limited ABN 54 643 014 895 of Level 15, 575 Bourke Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 (VicReturn).
2. The Promotion commences at 10am on Monday, 4 May 2026 and closes at 11.59pm on Sunday, 14 June 2026 (Promotion Period).

Eligibility / How to enter

3. Entry is open to Australian residents who:
   1. reside in the State of Victoria;
   2. return 50 or more eligible containers to a CDS Vic refund point in one single transaction during the Promotion Period;
   3. complete the entry form and upload the required information described in clause 5;
   4. are over the age of 18 years, or, if under the age of 18 years, have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian before participating in the Promotion; and
   5. are not a person, or an immediate family member of a person, that is (as determined by VicReturn):
      1. involved (whether as a principal, agent or employee) in the conduct or the promotion of the Promotion (including any person who determines who is to win a prize in the Promotion); or
      2. an employee or contractor of VicReturn, Recycling Victoria, or a Network Operator (Return-It, Tomra Cleanaway Ventures or Visy), or of a Collection Point Operator or other subcontractor contracted to manage a Refund Collection Point or container collection service (as defined under the Scheme’s legislation)
         (Eligible Entrants).

4. For the avoidance of doubt:
   1. Only individuals may be Eligible Entrants. Companies, corporations, incorporated associations and unincorporated associations, government authorities and other similar organisations, including, without limitation, CDS Vic Donation Partners, are not capable of being Eligible Entrants.
   2. However, individuals associated with a CDS Vic Donation Partner, such as a volunteer, member or officer of a Donation Partner, may enter this Competition provided they meet the criteria in clause 3 above.
   3. An ‘immediate family member’ of a person in 3(e) above, is another person related to the ineligible entrant, either by blood or marriage, who resides in the same home.
   4. VicReturn is not responsible for any arrangement between two or more people to combine containers for a single entry. Each eligible entry will be treated as a single person’s entry for the purpose of these terms.
5. To enter, Eligible Entrants must, at any time before the end of the Promotion Period, complete an entry form at www.winamillioncents.com.au (Entry Form) that includes;
   1. the Eligible Entrant’s name, phone number, email address, Victorian postcode, and any other information required by the Entry Form;
   2. a screenshot or photo of a valid receipt or proof of return issued by the CDS Vic refund point showing the return of 50 or more containers in one single transaction at that refund point;
   3. confirmation that the Eligible Entrant
      1. has accepted these terms; and
      2. is over 18 years of age or, if the Eligible Entrant is under 18 years of age, confirmation that they have obtained a parent or guardian’s consent to enter.
6. An Eligible Entrant will be entitled to 1 entry into the Promotion for every 50 containers returned in a single transaction, as shown by this example:

7. There is no limit on how many times an Eligible Entrant may enter this Promotion, provided that each Entry Form complies with clause 5 above. However, an Eligible Entrant may only use a transaction receipt or proof of return once per entry.
8. It is the Eligible Entrant’s responsibility to:
   1. ensure they receive a valid receipt or proof of return from the refund point prior to submitting an Entry Form; and
   2. comply with any other reasonable requirements of the refund point operator when making the return.

Prize details

9. The first 5 eligible entries randomly drawn will each win AUD$10,000 (Prizes), plus a further AUD$10,000 donation to a CDS Vic Donation Partner nominated by one of those randomly drawn winners (Donation Partner Prize) (together, the Prizes). The total number of Prizes that will be awarded is 6. The total value of all Prizes in the Promotion is AUD $60,000.

Determining the winner

10. The random computer-generated prize draw will take place at 10am (AEST) on Thursday, 18 June 2026 by TBWA, at their offices, 288 Coventry Street, South Melbourne VIC 3205 (Draw).
11. The first five eligible entries drawn, as determined by VicReturn, will each be awarded an AUD$10,000 Prize (Winners). All entries have an equal chance of winning.
12. One of the five Winners will be selected by random computer-generated draw to win the Donation Partner Prize, granting that Winner the right to direct VicReturn to donate AUD$10,000 to a registered CDS Vic Donation Partner of the Winner’s choice. The Donation Partner Prize is not exchangeable for cash and cannot not be retained by that Winner.
13. To ensure the legitimacy of each Winner, each of the five Winners drawn will have their Eligible Entries validated against the Scheme’s container redemption records.
14. Presence at the Draw is not required.
15. At the time of the Draw, VicReturn will randomly draw a further seven additional eligible entries to be reserve winners if a Prize is not claimed in accordance with these terms (Reserve Winners).
16. Eligible Entrants are only eligible to win one Prize per person. Only one Winner is eligible to also win the Donation Partner Prize.

Announcing the winner

17. VicReturn will take reasonable steps to notify the winner directly by email and phone within 7 business days of the Draw.
18. The names of the winners will be announced on the Win A Million Cents website winamillioncents.com.au and the CDS Vic website cdsvic.org.au/winamillioncents within 28 days of the prize draw, provided the winner has been notified by phone and acknowledged and accepted these Terms and Conditions in writing within 2 business days of being contacted by telephone.

Claiming the prize

19. The Winners must claim their Prize by 5.00pm (AEST) on Friday, 3 July 2026 (or within two business days of being contacted by telephone) after the Draw by confirming receipt of the notification email by return email or by such other method specified in the notification email.
20. If a Prize is not claimed by that time, despite all reasonable efforts by VicReturn to identify a Winner, that Winner will be taken to have forfeited their Prize and VicReturn will award that Prize instead to the Reserve Winner to have been next drawn.
21. VicReturn will notify any Reserve Winner by email and phone within 7 days of a Prize being awarded to them, and VicReturn will publish the Reserve Winner’s details in the manner described in clause 18, and:
    1. a first Reserve Winner must claim the Prize within 14 days; and
    2. if the first Reserve Winner does not claim the Prize within 14 days, the next Reserve Winner will be awarded the Prize in accordance with the process set out in clause 20, and the process will be repeated until the Prize has been claimed.
22. As a condition of claiming a Prize:
    1. each Winner or any Reserve Winner (as the case may be) must consent to VicReturn using the the Winner's or Reserve Winner's name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of this Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting CDS Vic; or
    2. if a Winner or Reserve Winner is under the age of 18 at the time of the Draw, a parent or legal guardian of the Winner or Reserve Winner (a Prize Recipient) must, on behalf of Prize Recipient:
       1. provide any further documentation reasonably required by VicReturn to confirm the nominated parent or guardian's consent to the Prize Recipient entering this Promotion; and
       2. consent to VicReturn using the Prize Recipient’s name, likeness, image and/or voice (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of this Promotion (including any outcome), and promoting CDS Vic.
23. Each Prize, excluding the Donation Partner Prize, will be provided to each Winner or Reserve Winner (as the case may be) by electronic funds transfer to a bank account nominated by the Winner or Reserve Winner. A Winner or Reserve Winner’s bank account must be maintained by a registered Australian Deposit-taking Institution. VicReturn takes no responsibility if a Winner or Reserve Winner provides incorrect bank account information.

Resolving disputes

24. Complaints regarding the Promotion may be submitted by:
    1. calling 134 237; or
    2. emailing info@vicreturn.com.au
25. If there is a dispute concerning the complaint, the decision of VicReturn is final and binding, and no further correspondence will be entered into.

General

26. Information on how to enter and prize details set out in all communications regarding the Promotion form part of these terms.
27. Should they be a Winner, Eligible Entrants consent to publication of their details in accordance with these terms.
28. Any entry not complying with these terms is invalid. Errors and omissions may be accepted at VicReturn's discretion.
29. VicReturn’s decision is final in relation to all aspects of this Promotion and no correspondence will be entered into in that respect.
30. Beneficiaries of the Prize accept the Prize ‘as is’ and acknowledge that VicReturn accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from their Prize. Beneficiaries of the Prize should seek advice from the Australian Tax Office or their own taxation adviser or independent financial adviser.
31. VicReturn reserves the right, at any time, in its sole discretion, to verify the validity of entries and Eligible Entrants (including an Eligible Entrant’s identity, age, place of residence and validity of the eligible container transaction) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Eligible Entrant who VicReturn has reason to believe has breached any of these terms, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. VicReturn's legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
32. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned (including, but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of VicReturn which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion), VicReturn may, subject to the approval of all relevant regulatory authorities, take any action that may be available including cancelling, terminating, modifying or suspending the Promotion.
33. Failure by VicReturn to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
34. Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the states and territories of Australia (Non-Excludable Guarantees).
35. Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, VicReturn and its related entities (including its respective directors, officers, employees and agents) are not responsible for and exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of:
    1. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under VicReturn’s control);
    2. the provision of incorrect information by an entrant, Winner or Reserve Winners;
    3. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
    4. any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by VicReturn) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of VicReturn;
    5. any variation in Prize value to that stated in these terms;
    6. any tax liability incurred by a beneficiary of a Prize (including an Eligible Entrant, Winner, Reserve Winner or a Prize Recipient);
    7. use/taking of the Prize; or
    8. the Promotion.
36. All entries become the sole property of VicReturn. VicReturn collects your personal information so that it may process your entry, administer this Promotion and contact you regarding information on products or services that may be of interest to you.
37. VicReturn may communicate personal information to external providers and organisations to which it may outsource certain functions.
38. VicReturn will use and handle your personal information as set out in the CDS Vic Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at cdsvic.org.au/privacy-policy. The Privacy Policy sets out how you may access, update or correct your personal information, change your direct marketing preferences or make a privacy complaint.
